About the Book
This is an excellent collection of letters by Imam Ibn Taymiyya regarding different issues that are very hot debated and discussed in today’s studies circles which has been compiled and edited by the Late Shaykh of Haidth Shaykh Abdul Fattah Abu Ghudda. This collection of letters as well as the introduction of Abu Ghudda emphasise the importance of unity in the face of diversity.
It also includes a letter written by Imam Ibn Hazm Al-Andalusi Al-Dhahiri regarding the ruling of the permisibility of being led in Salaat by an Imam who is from another Madhab.
About the Editer
Shaykh Abd al-Fattah Abu Ghuddah was born in Syria in 1917. One of the outstanding Muslim scholars of the 20th century, Shaykh Abu Ghuddah was a leading scholar in the field of Hadith and of the Hanafi school of Fiqh. He studied in Syria and Egypt specialising in Arabic Language, Hadith, Shariah and Psychology. He had many prominent teachers, amongst them Shaykh Ragib al-Tabbakh, Shaykh Ahmed ibn Muhamad al-Zaraqa, Shaykh Isa al-Bayanuni, Shaykh Ahmad al-Kurdi and the renouned Ottoman Scholar Imam al-Kawthari. He met Imam Hasan al-Banna in the 1940?s and joined the Muslim Brotherhood. On his return to Syria he became very active in his da?wah work and eventually he became the leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in Syria. He taught Usul al Fiqh, Hanafi Fiqh and Comaparative Fiqh at the University of Damascus. He also taught at the King Saud University and Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University. He was buried in al-Baqi Cemetry in Madinah in 1997.
هذا اكتاب هو مجموعة ممتازة من رسائل الإمام ابن تيمية, بخصوص مواضيع مختلفة تثير اليوم جدلاً ونقاشاً حاداً بين الدارسين, قام بجمعها وتحقيقها الشيخ الراحل عبدالفتاح أبو غدة رحمه الله. وتركّز هذه الرسائل, وكذلك مقدمة الشيخ أبو غدة, على أهمية الوحدة في واجهة الفرقة[بين المسلمين].
ويضم هذا المجموع رسالة للإمام ابن حزم الظاهري بشأن الترخيص لأن يأتم المصلون بإمام من مذهب آخر غير مذهبهم.
